If you are looking for something fun to do this at the weekend but also keep fit and also cool down during the current hot weather then you should head down to the Port of Malaga on Sunday 3rd August.
On this day the 49th Swim Crossing of the Port of Málaga takes place.
It is an event that attracts more and more people each year including some famous faces like world champion David Meca or Olympic athlete María Peláez, who won last year’s edition with 11′ 03″
Even Mayor of Malaga Francisco de la Torre gets involved , taking part in the event every year.
There are four categories
PROFESSIONAL
AMATEUR
MEN
WOMEN
It is necessary to resister prior to the event. The Sports Foundation at the Málaga Town Hall . To register, you have to contact the Sports Foundation at the Málaga Town Hall.
The distance of the course is 1000 metres
The event begins at 11am. It is a fun day for everyone , not just the swimmers so why not go along and support the swimmers as they take part.
