Vista Del Mar at Miraflores Playa, is a Mediterranean gastronomic treat set in a beautiful 5 star development on the beachside overlooking lush gardens and a spectacular circular swimming pool. The sea views from Vista Del Mar are stunning. You can enjoy ‘al fresco dining’ on the large sunny terrace or enjoy the ambience inside the elegant Restaurant.

British couple, David and Jayne Baldwin run this excellent eaterie, and have been serving up top food and entertainment for over a year in this popular resort.

We went for Sunday lunch recently and enjoyed the best roast beef we have eaten for years. The friendly waiter informed us that the meat is hung and tenderised by the chef, and the sirloin of beef was sublime. Served with fresh vegetables including broccoli, cauliflower, roast potatoes and even Yorkshire pudding, you will be hard pressed to find a better roast anywhere.

An extensive starter menu including such delicious offerings as gravadlax, home-made soups and fabulous range of salads and specials such as Thai fishcakes, the Vista del Mar offers so much more than your average beach bar.

We followed our main course with a superb chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and apple pie with vanilla cream. Delicious. The cocktails are also to die for and we had a superb pimms, with strawberries, cucumber, oranges and fresh mint in the glass – pimms is a great summer drink and was one of the best we have ever tried on the Cost del Sol. Attention to detail is very important and the owners are always in evidence to make sure everything runs smoothly. The attractive terrace area boasts pool and sea views, and there are plenty of shades to keep you cool from the summer heat.

In addition to roast beef on a Sunday and throughout the week, there is a large menu with an impressive range of dishes to suit all tastes. Special menus are also offered, including an all day snack menu between 1-4pm, where children under 12 eat free, and a superb spit roast which is held every Sunday evening, including a vast range of salads and succulent spit roasted meats for a price of €25 per person.

Tuesday is Pasta night, where you can spoil yourself with a superb range of pasta dishes to suit all tastes. Some of the chef´s special sauces and pasta specialities are served here, and they are absolutely delicious.
One of the most popular nights of the week is Spanish Night, where authentic Spanish cuisine is served, with authentic dishes from different regions of Spain. The evening starts at 7.30pm, and includes a Spanish guitarist and flamenco exhibition, and a special drink of queimada is served at the table (Galician fire water). A cooking exhibition also takes place so customers can learn how to cook their favourite dishes at home.
Every Thursday the Vista del Mar hosts a Barbecue Night on the terrace, and there is no better place to watch the sun go down over the sea, while enjoying live entertainment and some excellent food. A wide range of marinated meats are cooked in front of you plus a range of up to 20 salads to choose from. The cost is €35 a head, and this is one of the most popular nights of the week.

Friday is dining and dancing night with live entertainment and set menu, including a singer and pianist to keep you entertained. Enjoy a great choice of food plus dance the night away from 7pm until late for only €30 per head.

Every Saturday is Cabaret Night with a featured live act every week. A set menu, live music and cabaret is included for only €30 per person.

On other nights, the excellent chef Michael, formerly chef at the Lonestar Brasserie in Puerto Banus, and the Vista del Mar´s friendly staff offer fayre the superb A La Carte Menu, with background music (Chill Out music) from our ‘in house’ sound system. So if it’s Good Food in a Most Tranquil and magical setting you are after, try the Vista del Mar – you won´t be disappointed.

There is ample parking close to the top road behind Vista del Mar, and the restaurant enjoys excellent road access.
