The city of Malaga has for many years been the setting for many a wonderful cultural event and the city has many venues where you can enjoy a whole host of events from pop concerts to traditional flamenco displays.

One of the best venues is the fabulous Cervantes Theatre and on the 29th April 2008 this stunning venue plays host to the Transylvanian Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Transylvanian Symphonic Orchestra was formed in 1955 and originally named “Cluj State Philharmonic Orchestra” after the city of Cluj, capital of the important Romanian region of Transylvania.

This excellent orchestra is conducted by the very talented Inma Sharma who comes from the new generation of Spanish conductors.

This young lady studied Composition and Orchestration at the Bilbao and Vitoria Higher Musical Conservatories before later moving to the Madrid Royal High Conservatory of Music, where she studied Orchestral Conducting.

She has conducted some of the best orchestras in Spain and has also worked with some of the world’s most famous orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, London Royal Philharmonic, and Rome and Milan Symphonic Orchestras

On the night the orchestra will perform music from some of the most famous composers in the world. It promises to be a feast of musical pleasure for anyone who is lucky enough to attend
