Situated in Arroya de la Miel (part of Benalmadena Costa), Tivoli World Theme Park offers something for the whole family: fairground rides for both the young and the young at heart, tropical gardens with fountains, an open air theatre with seating for over 3000 staging a variety of musical, dance and comedy performances for audiences of all ages, a wild west show, flamenco dance exhibitions, a model railway, a display of life-size model Jurassic dinosaurs, themed restaurants and bars. With over 300 rides and attractions covering an area of 25 acres, the park is the largest of its type on the Costa del Sol. There is also ample car parking available, and trains and buses provide regular, convenient services. The train station is about 100 metres from the park and buses stop right outside the entrance gates.
Tivoli World is open all the year round and opening times designed to avoid the worst of the summer heat are as follows:
- January to Easter 1100 – 2100 on Sundays only
- Easter to the end of May 1600 – 0100 daily
- June 1700 – 0200 daily
- July to mid-September 1800 – 0230 daily
- Mid-September to mid-October 1600 – 0100 daily
- November and December 1100 – 2100 daily
Entry to the park costs 6€ per person but those under 1 metre in height can enter free of charge – vertically challenged adults need not raise their hopes as this offer applies only to children. This charge includes access to the gardens, free shows and the restaurants and bars. For a further 10€ per person a Supertivolino ticket can be purchased in the park which gives unlimited access to over 30 rides. Rides such as Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, and Mini F1 are not included in the Supertivolino and must be paid for separately.
