Every year across Andalucia many of the bars of the coastal regions and the inland areas are filled with the sounds of talented performers trying to make their name in the entertainment business. Many of them go on to bigger and better things and some even become household names.

This year on the Costa del Sol these talented people are to be given a chance to show off their talents on a bigger stage and help raise much needed funds for the excellent cancer charity Cudeca.

Maurice Boland, the driving force and owner of the radio station REM is a great supporter of the charity and has organized many events to help Cudeca plus many other worthwhile causes. He is organizing a talent show for solo singers over the age of 16 in an X-Factor inspired talent competition called the WOW factor with the proceeds going to Cudeca

The competition gets going with the first heat on the 20^th September at the stunning Moonlight Bar at Sunset Beach Club Hotel, Benalmádena, then a week later at the Atalaya Park Hotel the second heat takes place.

Then on the 18th October at the Moonlight Bar in Benalmádena Costa it is time for the Semi finals and then the magnificent Torrequebrada Hotel between Fuengirola and Benalmádena will play host to the final of this fascinating competition where the 10 finalists will battle for the ultimate goal

For those wishing to enter there will be a 10€ registration fee and you will need to take along a CD or MP3 file featuring the backing track to the song that they have chosen to help launch their potential journey into stardom.

For the heats the those wishing to be in the audience will be asked to pay a 5€ entrance fee

Semi final audiences will have to pay just 15€

For the final there will be a charge of 15€

Also at the final there will be a choice to pay for VIP tickets for the show which include a 3-course meal, wine, and privileged seats at the show . This option will cost 90€ (excl. IVA) per person or for those who really want to go all out and make a night of it the VIP Gala package for two is available , which includes a 3-course meal, wine, privileged seats as well as a double room at the hotel for the night, including breakfast for 284€ (excl. IVA) for two people

The eventual winner will not only win the title of Wow Factor 2008 Winner but will also win some great prizes to help them climb the ladder of success including a styling session with top fashionista Nicola Bowen, a recording session and video clip.
