One of the most established and popular restaurants along the Costa del Sol is the Mijas-Playa, situated on the beach front at La Cala de Mijas. With a fabulous sea front terrace and a beautiful interior restaurant, this is a stunning location for a restaurant.

Midweek dinner menus are available from €24 for three courses and a fabulous Sunday lunch menu is offered from €22.50 for two courses.

There is also a fabulous resident singer/pianist performing most evenings of the week in the main restaurant.

The evening a la carte menu is both innovative and varied. Specialities include: Tom ka gai thai soup with Asian spices and lemon grass; lobster pasta with fresh tomatoes and garlic; crispy duck breast with orange and cointreau sauce and rack of lamb with port wine, rosemary and mint.

Recommended specialities also include the chef´s signature dish of fresh crab tower with fresh crab; prawn; avocado and carpaccio of roast octopus.

Getting there: From Calahonda, direction Fuengirola. Exit the A7 at the sign for La Cala de Mijas. Drive straight on at the roundabout. Straight through the middle of town. At next roundabout straight on as if leaving town. Keep to the right and when you turn into the beach road you will see the Mijas-Playa on the right hand side opposite a beach bar/restaurant.
