The are many wonderful wonderful and exciting attractions on the Costa del Sol.
One of the most popular of those is the cable car located at Arroyo de la Miel , Benalmadena.

The Telecabina (or Teleférico) takes you from Arroyo to a stunning 800m above sea level the highest point on the Málaga coast .

The journey takes around 15 minutes and after you have enjoyed the journey you will find some great viewpoints the (the Calamorro Mountain Peak) , Sur (south) and Oeste (west). These viewpoints are well signposted and from you can enjoy breathtaking views of the coast and beyond, you can even see Gibraltar and the African Coast on a clear day. Looking the other way you can see the stunning Guadalhorce Valley and the magnificent Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Also at the top you can enjoy donkey rides around the beautiful countryside.

One of the main reasons for visiting the top is the bird of prey sanctuary on the Calamorro Mountaintop where you can see more than sixty birds of different species, including vultures, royal eagles, peregrine falcons and white-headed vultures as well as the Royal Owls. Here you can enjoy a interesting demonstration on how the birds of prey live alongside humans.

There is also a wonderful exhibition of fine Spanish dressage horses which is included in the price of the cable car ticket.

The cable car opened in 2003 is owned and run by the Selwo Adventure Parks group. The entrance is located opposite the Tivoli World. You can buy either single or return ticket. It is opening hours from 10am-11.30pm although if there is bad weather or high winds it is best to check as the timetable can be disrupted.

During the summer months of July and August you can enjoy the Bird of Prey Exhibition is at 1pm and 8pm and the Spanish Horse Dressage exhibition at noon, 6pm and 10pm.

The cable cars hold 4 persons but if you have a bike with you you get a car all to yourself
