If you fancy rolling down a hill at speeds of up to 30mph in a sphere ball, then Sphere Mania is well worth a visit. Situated at La Quinta Driving Range, in Marbella, next to the golf club, Sphere Mania opened in mid-April, and has enjoyed fantastic success since the first day.

To enjoy sphereing you need to be daring, adventurous and very slightly mad! You may have tried paragliding, bungee jumping or even white water rafting but this is the newest, craziest adrenalin rush you are likely to experience.

Harness Sphereing
Two thrill seekers are harnessed in to the sphere ball, so you are facing each other, with a safe distance between you. The ball is then sent hurtling 200 metres down the hill, giving you the ride of your life. The safety harness and 3 feet of air between you and the ground ensure a safe ride, and passengers always emerge none the worse for wear – often giggling hysterically.

Aqua Sphereing
The ultimate sphereing experience, and another option to harness sphereing, is the amazing water option. Aqua sphereing sees one or two people plus 30 litres of water tumble down the hill in what can only be described as an ´in the washing machine´ experience. Passengers slide around inside the ball as it hurtles downhill, and judging from the shrieks of laughter when they emerge, this is a truly crazy experience.
Amazingly, there is no dizzy feeling after riding the sphere, more a feeling of ´what the hell was that´. It is very much a rough and tumble ride, but we found that it was just as much fun watching our friends descend the hill, as it was taking part.

Bouncing down the hill at La Quinta in a giant inflatable ball is an amazing experience, particularly with a group of friends, or like-minded individuals. Birthday parties, corporate events and even charity fundraisers can be arranged at Sphere Mania, and there is no better way to celebrate a special event than here.
Safety

Emphasis is always put on safety and enjoyment at Sphere Mania to ensure that everyone has the best time possible.

Visitors may not participate if they are:
- pregnant
- suffering from high blood pressure, any heart condition or epilepsy
- suffering from, or have ever had, any back or neck problems
- under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- undergoing medical treatment or have had an operation within the past twelve months
- Aqua Sphereing under 3ft10ins
- Aqua Sphereing under 7 years old (Parental consent is required up to the age of 18)
- Harness Sphereing under 4 ft
- Harness Sphereing less than 12 years old (Parental consent is required up to the age of 18)
- exceeding 18 stone (NB. max girth 60ins)

The business judgment of customer weight/height (or any other other restriction) is final and may be decided upon by Sphere Mania staff on the day of the ride. The weekends are already booking up quickly, and it is advisable to pre-book to avoid waiting.

How to get there: Take the coast road from Marbella in the direction of Puerto Banus. Bypass Banus and carry on. Take the Ronda road off to the right (before San Pedro) and carry on up this road. At the first roundabout (with petrol station on the left) straight on. At the next roundabout turn right into La Quinta and follow signs for golf course and then driving range.
