If you are looking for somewhere to take the children when you are visiting the Costa Del Sol, then one place that should be high on your list is the facinating Selwo Nature Park, in Estepona.

Selwo is located just of the N340 highway, driving to Estepona. It is the home to around 2000 animals from around the world who live in conditions which are semi-wild and therefore gives the visitor a real insight into the lives of the animals.

Selwo Park is easy to find and there is ample parking outside the front gate.

Once inside Selwo you will find that the park is desgined like an African Safari Park andSelwo so you can get close up to the animals

Selwo is best seen from the all terain vehicles but there are areas where you need to walk so wear good sensible shoes. The staff are very friendly, helpful and extremely knolagable about the animals .

There are ample places toeat and drink in the park.

Selwo is great value for money and has some facinating animals and birds. One of the most unusual walks is through the bird canyon, a large netted area where birds fly freely, as though in the wild.

On arrival cross the spectacular 107m long bridge to the central village where you can take the safari truck on two very different routes

The first route is the valley route where you can see the bears, lions and tigers among other animals or you could chose the Sabana route which is inhabited by species such as gnus, orix, antelopes and rhinos.
