Here you will find 61km of Ski slopes offering 45 pistes and 6 off pistes routes which offer visitors approx 5 months of the best snow in Spain. There are 2 cable cars, 12 chair lifts and 5 ski lifts. The resort is open from 9am - 5pm however you can ski into the night at weekends and bank holidays . Popular night skiing was introduced in 1994 and one of the most popular lighted routes is the El Rio slope
The main resort village in the area is Pradollano located just 45 minutes drive from the city of Granada , 1 hour from Granada Airport and just 2 Hours from Malaga airport.
In recent years the village area has been greatly enhanced due to the construction of the new alpine - style buildings and one of the best features of the resort is the underground parking complex built over four story with a capacity for 2,800 vehicles.
There is a huge variety of services in the resort including quality hotels in a range of categories offering such facilities as jacuzzis, squash courts , workout areas, saunas and indoor swimming pools. You can also find a good selection of night clubs, pubs and bars, discotheques where you can enjoy the evenings ;You will also find a first-rate child day-care centre, shops, banks with ATM´s, supermarkets, sports and fashion boutiques, gift shops, magazine and newspaper kiosks, ski rental, photo-developing services, hairdressers, car rental, taxi service and a pharmacy. There is also a new medical centre in the village.

The Sierra Nevada is also a beautiful place to visit out of season, when there is no snow. You will find it a peaceful place with plenty of hill walking routes. The air is clean and fresh and there are still a few cafes and bars open for refreshments. You will find ample free parking unlike during the ski season when it can become very crowded and busy
Even if the natural snowfall lets you down , in recent years the resort has turned to technology to extend the season by investing in artificial snow machines and now the resort has 16 of them that generate snow round the clock. The resort has the best groomed snow in Europe.
