Malaga Airport is situated about 8km (5 miles) south west of Malaga city centre. It is the main airport for the Costa del Sol and is within easy reach of the resorts of Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Marbella. Malaga is currently the fourth busiest airport in Spain, after Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. This year Easjet passed Iberia as the largest carrier at Malaga airport.
The airport is easily accessed by the main N340/A7 road and is well signposted. There are two passenger terminals 1 and 2 which are both connected, and a cargo terminal. The airport is currently undergoing a major expansion to cope with the increase in passenger numbers.
