There are many good attractions for lovers of animals and marine life right across Andalucia from the fabulous Fuengirola Zoo, to the fascinating Crocodile Park in Torremolinos.
However if Birds of Pray are what you are interested in the one place that should be high on your To Do list when visiting the area is the splendid Jardin de las Aguilas (‘garden of the eagles’).
Located near to the stunning Andalucian town of Benalmadena on the western Costa del Sol, this wonderful Birds of Prey has something for all the family
The centre which has around 160 various birds including the star Yaku, a rare Condor, plus many others including Eagles, Falcons and vultures is not only a tourist attraction but is also dedicated to raising and protecting many different species of raptor. There are daily shows held during the summer months carried out by expert handlers who have a special bond with the birds… All the birds in the centre get a chance to spread their wings for your entertainment
The best way to get to the centre is to head for Benalmádena pueblo , where you will see signposts to the centre. As you approach you will see a miniature castle known as the Castillo de Colomares and Jardin de las Aguilas is right next door.
The shows are held normally between 1-5pm in summer months

One thing that is recommended s a visit to the Castillo de Colomares which is next door which is a spectacular monument to Christopher Columbus which was build by a doctor and his son in 1994 and commemorates Columbus’ arrival in the New World. It is surrounded by some beautiful gardens and from here you get a great view of coast.
