Malaga C.F. due to its location in the heart of the popular holiday destination of the Costa Del Sol has always had a strong following with the British holiday makers and ex - pact community and fought their way from Group 9 of the third Division in 92/93, to finally achieve First Division status in 1999/2000 and remained in the First Division for a number of seasons but are now following a run of bad luck now play in the second division of the Spanish league.
