The City Of Cadiz in Andalucia is a beautiful and historic city and this month the city hosts a selection of flamenco events including one in the “La Merced” municipal Flamenco Centre in Plaza de la Merced thre are the following Flamenco workshops and live shows from 4 th to 2 9 th June 2007. The programme is as follows:-

4 th and 5 th June 2007. Flamenco Workshop given by Charo Cruz for all levels from 18 to 20.

7 th June 2007. Show by singer Joaquin Alegria and Pili Villar accompanied by Pascual de Lorca at 21. Entrance is free.

11 th June 2007. Flamenco Workshop given by Teacher and Singer/composer Marcos Alejandro Rodriquez de la Maza from 19 to 21. Entrance is free.

14 th June 2007. The show “A Cai” by Jose de Vargas Fernandez at 21. The singers are May Fernandez, Samara Montañes, Pili Villar, the dancers Lidia Cabello and Kuky Santiago accompanied they are accompanied by musicians El Nino de la Leo, Carmelo Muriel and Edu Gomez. Entrance is free.

18th June 2007. Conference entitled “El Flamenco, Creación de los Majos de Cadiz” at 21.

The lecturer is Guillermo Roto Arnau with artistic illustration by singer Felipe Scapachini accompanied by Adriano Lozano. Entrance is free.

21 st June 2007. Pepin Muñoz and Pepito Vazques give a talk on their performances. They are accompanied by Enrique Montoya, Pepe Blanco, Dolores Abril and Juanito Valdermama and the oderator is Enrique Linera. Entrance is free.

25 th June 2007. Flamenco workshop by teacher and singer/composer Marcos Alejandro Rodriquez de la Maza from 19 to 21. Entrance is free.

26 th June 2007. Show by singers Juan Silva and Raul Galvez accompanied by musicians Juan Ramon Ortega and El Niño de la Leo at 21. Entrance is free.

29 th June 2007. Conference entitled “La Guitarra Flamenca. Evolucion Historica del Instrumento” at 21. The lecturer is Rafael Lopez Porra accompanied by artist Pascual de Lorca. Entrance is free.
