One of the most well established and popular Indian Restaurants on the Costa del Sol and in the UK is the Raj Doot in the centre of Fuengirola. With four other restaurants in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin, the Raj Doot name is expanding rapidly, and the owners were the first to introduce tandoori food to Europe in 1966.

Service is efficient and friendly, and the food is varied and delicious. Many dishes are from the Nepalese region, and boast distinct flavours and ingredients not always common to Indian cooking.

Specialities include chicken chayla with fresh herbs and Nepalese spices; duck tikka, marinaded in orange juice and red wine, then chargrilled; tandoori cod marinaded in spices and yogurt then grilled over charcoal and an excellent chicken jalfrezi with tomatoes, onions and green peppers. A great selection of Indian breads and chapattis plus special rice is also available plus a wide range of vegetarian dishes.

Or try the selection of Indian specialities offered on the main menu. Our party shared six different dishes and they were all superb.

Desserts include Kulfi – Indian ice cream with pistachio, almonds and cashews and fresh fruits such as mangoes and lychees.

Prices are reasonable the restaurant enjoys easy road access and parking nearby.
