Novo SanctiSituated close to the town of Chiclana de la Frontera on the increasingly popular Costa de la Luz is this huge golf complex, which occupies an area of some 400 hectares. There are three 18-hole courses, named Mar Pinos (Round A), Centro (round B) and Campano (round C). Alongside the complex is the sandy beach of La Barossa which stretches for around 6 kilometres. The Turespana Masters was held at Novo Sancti in 1993.

Mar Pinos
The front nine of the Mar Pinos course has wide fairways and 3 lakes, while the back nine is situated amongst pine trees. The signature hole is the 6th, which has its green situated next to the beach. Mar Pinos was opened in 2001 and designed by Seve Ballesteros.

Centro
After a flat front nine, the next four holes become are more undulating and there are some great views of the Atlantic. The back nine has a lake between three of the holes. An interesting feature of the course is the S-shaped bunker on the final hole, intended as designer Seve Ballesteros’s signature.

Campano
Campano was designed by Robert Trent Jones and originally opened as a nine-hole course back in 1985. It has only recently become part of the Novo Sancti complex. The first nine holes are parkland in style, with plenty of trees and water hazards to contend with. Wide, undulating greens are a feature of the back nine. The abundance of vegetation and frequent sea breezes can make this a challenging course.

Facilities
Novo Sancti Petri has a clubhouse, two putting greens, a partly-covered driving range, pro shop, three holes of pitch and putt, three chipping greens, two restaurants with terraces, and an international PGA golf school which boasts ten full-time professionals. There are also several hotels within the complex including the recently-opened Barcelo Hotel.
