Andalucia is well known for its musical events and the diversity of the musical offerings that can be found right across the region every year is quite amazing. There is really something for everyone.
This October the city of Malaga is playing host to two concerts at two of its numerous wonderful venues that really show the diversity of the music that can be heard in Andaulucia.
On the 10 and 11 October at the Cervantes Theatre the world famous Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing the beautiful work of D. Pérez and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The program for this weekend of concerts is “El lago durmiente,” which was composed especially for the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra by D. Pérez, and Tchaikovsky’s “Variations on a Rococo Theme” (Op. 33, in A major) and “Symphony No. 4 (Op. 36, in F minor).
The Orchestra will be led by the acclaimed Italian conductor Aldo Ceccato and will be joined the Spanish violoncellist Asier Polo
The concert which begins as 9pm marks the start of a series of weekend concerts by the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra

Then on the 18th October at the Sala Vivero which is located at Polígono La Estrella. C/ Parauta, 25-C in Malaga the other end of the music spectrum is covered with a concert by the Spanish rapper from Seville Shotta
This young talented singer recorded his first album along with his brother, Tote King, when he was only 16 years old and now seven years later he has built a large fan base with his original style
In his music this young performer openly voices opposition to anything he doesn’t like while the lyrics of his songs stick basically to the idea that man is his own enemy.
The concert starts at 11:00 p.m.
These are just two of the great musical events that are taking place in Andalucia this year so if either classical or rap are not your thing never fear , there are more concerts to come .
