Ben Nott is an English speaking Architect, Interior Designer and Designer based in Marbella, Spain.  He has been working on the Costa del Sol for nearly eight years and has been running his own architecture and design studio, BLANCO – ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN since 2008.  As an architect, Ben is an unusual in that he offers the complete design service merging architecture, interior design and furniture design into one complete package.  An example of this is the recently completed CLUB 55, a Private Members, Bar and Restaurant in Gibraltar.  (Please see the website)

Ben comes from a diverse background and therefore the architecture of Blanco-ad originates from this multi-cultural base.  He was born in the UK and raised in South Africa.  He moved to Marbella, Spain in 2002 and worked in as an architect in a practice in Sotogrande at the beginning.  This allowed him to understand the building and construction industry in Spain and at the same time learn Spanish. He has been practicing as an architect for the last six years in Marbella.  Most architects have a style or a trade mark.  The style of Blanco is one that is sympathetic to the client’s needs, the context of the site and the climate here in Marbella, Spain.  Marbella offers that unique opportunity to design and create a built environment that is both modern and in touch with nature and the surrounding environment.

The studio is currently working on a diverse range of projects including a private yacht interior, a speed boat design, a private residence interior and a sustainable, eco-friendly villa architectural concept. We have worked on private residencies, banks, offices, bars and restaurants.

Thus far we have worked in Marbella, Spain, Gibraltar and Greece.  In the studio they speak English, Spanish, Italian, German and French.  The team at Blanco regularly travels to architects and interior design fairs all over Europe in order to bring the latest and best products to their wide range of projects.
