Situated only 12km from Malaga Airport, and enjoying a beautiful seafront location, is the Torrequebrada Casino Hotel, in Benalmadena-Costa.

The Torrequebrada Casino first opened on April 1st, 1979, and continues to be one of the main tourist centres on the Costa del Sol, and one of the best equipped resorts with the widest array of leisure activities in Spain.

Boasting 350 rooms to accommodate 700 guests, including junior suites, presidential suites and even a royal suite, this is undoubtedly one of Andalucia´s favourite locations. All rooms have a terrace with sea view, satellite tv, air conditioning and a mini-bar for the comfort of the guests. Two beautiful swimming pools are situated in the gardens, only a stone´s throw from the beach, plus a tennis court and gym.
For sports fans, Torrequebrada Golf Course is situated just two minutes drive from the hotel reception, and discounts on green fees are available at reception. Also a wide range of water sports are available on the beach nearby, including jet skiing, parasailing, boat trips and scuba diving.

The award-winning Benalmadena Marina is only 2km from the hotel, and is well worth a visit. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the Marina area – most boasting superb views of the boats and the Mediterranean. Try El Mero for delicious seafood.

Within the Torrequebrada complex itself, the Pavillón Restaurant is situated next to the tropical gardens of the hotel, and offers delicious, varied, breakfast and lunch buffets plus an all day drinks service. The Café Royal overlooks the Sea, and offers guests the finest fresh fish and seafood available, plus a host of meat and vegetable dishes. Fine dining combined with elegant interiors and decoration, this proves to be a big hit with hotel guests. The Saphir Café is situated just off the main hall and offers a great selection of freshly made tapas and drinks throughout the day.

The Fortuna Nightclub is also situated within the hotel, and on our last visit, we enjoyed one of the most amazing displays of Flamenco we have ever seen in Spain. This passionate music and dance show is performed regularly and you can contact the hotel reception for more information or reservation.
And no stay at the Torrequebrada is complete without a visit to the famous casino, situated on the ground floor. Visitors from all over Andalucia flock here to have a bet or simply soak up the atmosphere. Three elegant halls are situated within the casino – the gaming hall, the slot machine hall and the private hall. Games played here include American and French roulette, black jack, stud poker and baccarat. Over 80 slot machines are situated in the hall next door, and the casino usually gets busy around midnight, and snacks and drinks are served late into the night from the adjoining bar. The casino opens from 9pm-5am. Slot machines can also be played between 4pm and 9pm.

The general area of Benalmadena-Costa is geared for tourism, and beach activities, Selwo Marina, the Sea Life Centre, and even the biggest Buddhist Stupa in Europe are all situated within 3km of the hotel entrance, and can be easily reached on foot, by bus or taxi. If you want to explore further, there is a beach front promenade from the Marina to Torremolinos, and also local trains which will take you to Malaga, Fuengirola and all resorts in between.

We usually eat at the Casino Restaurant and then either take in a show at the nightclub or play the tables for a few hours. Non-residents are welcome in the restaurants and the casino, and there is no better place on the coast for great food and late night entertainment.
