On December 23rd 2007 the new AVE High Spped Train Service between the Spanish Capitol Madrid and The City Of Malaga. The new service means it is now possible to travel between the two cities in appr 2hr 30 mins.
The route travels though Ciudad Real, Puertollano, Córdoba, and Antequera.on its way from the Capitol to Malaga
The Train used on the service is the Talgo S-102 whch has the affectionate nickname “The Duck” due to the shape of the nose. was built by the Spanish company Talgo with the Canadian group Bombardier. and can reach sppeds of up to 330km/h .
There are three levels of class on board which are Club (Deluxe Class)
referente (First Class) :Turista (Second Class) : and there are many on board facilities that make the journey all the more pleasent

The Service leaves from the Malaga {Renfe} Station so make sure you arrive at the correct station as their are two stations in Malaga {Malaga {Renfe} and Malaga {Almedia}

1Great sumamry but would like to ahve been able to be linked to an English language website to book. Found the Renfe site confusing.

2I have great difficulty in booking a train from Malaga to Madrid on the 3rd of October. Renfe does not allow me to phone their international information number.

We are going to travel from Madrid airport to Mijas-cost next October 2nd. Which is the station we have to stop in order to be near our resort?
Is the malaga airport or somewhere else? we also want to rent a car. are there offices for rent acar? (perhaps airport of malaga?)
also please let us know if we can book tickets of tourist class on line for that date with high speed train.

8We will be arriving in MAdrid at about 15.30 and would like to take a train to Malaga – El Faro area..can you tell me the cost and duration of train by return…on our way back we have to catch a 9.25 a.m. flight out of Madrid.

1. Does the Estepona express bus termiate at Renfe?
2. If not how far are they apart?
3. What is the name of the Madrid railway station the AVE terminates.
