One of the best things about the region of Andalucia is its weather. This stunning area of Spain has some of the best in Spain and with an around 300-330 days of sunshine per year it makes a perfect destination for everyone.

The area has three very distinctive weather zones but one thing is certain , you can enjoy long hot summers and pleasant winters . It is a wonderful area where in winter you can sunbath on the costal resorts in the morning and within 2 hours you can be skiing down the slops of the Sierra Nevada’s.

The Coastal Zone - Málaga, Cádiz, Huelva, Almería

These areas are known for their hot summers where sun bathing is possible almost every day between the beginning of June tight though to the end of September although in recent years the summer season has extended to between May and October. During this time there is hardly and rain and it is possible to wear short sleeves and shorts all the time including evenings while in the winter months a pullover or jacket is recommended.

During the Summer the daytime temperature can teach around 35 Degrees Centigrade with lows of around 15 degrees where as in the winter daily highs reach about 20C and nightly lows rarely drop much below 10C

Inland Lowland Zone - Seville, Córdoba, Jaén

|These areas a well known for there extremely hot summers with pratically no rain between June and September It is well known to reach over 40 degrees C in July and August .Thee average nightly temperate is around 18 degrees C . The winter months are known for the pleasant mixture of clear sunny days and overcast warm days. Rarely it drops below 10 degrees at night and the daytime can reach a pleasant 20 degrees

Inland Highland Zone - Granada, Jaén, Sierra Nevada

These areas are well known for their hot summer days reaching around 30 degrees during the day and not really dropping below 8 in the evening. It can be advisable to carry a light sweater during the summer evenings.
The winters are a pleasant mix of beautiful clear, sunny winter days with overcast but cool days. Evenings noticeably much colder after the sun sets. It is by far the coolest region in winter with snow on the mountains of the Sierra Nevada and quite often the temp drops below frezeing even in the lower regions
