When world travelers imagine Spain as its most romantic, Andalucia comes to mind. The south of Spain is so rich in history and culture and there is a big legacy of it that can be found in the Granada´s gorgeous Alhambra, the beautiful Cordoba´s Mezquita, the graceful beauty of Seville and the whirling flamenco dancers, the popular Sherry of Jerez and the wonderful Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz.
Being part both of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, and with Morocco at a short distance by ferry, Andalucia has a combination of cultures well know by tourists from all over the world. Apart from the cultural fact, it is plenty of activities to be done while your holiday in Andalucia all year round. Apart from the good beaches, Costa de la Luz, is one of the best places in Spain to practice windsurfing. Costa del Sol is still a paradise for holiday makers that love to spend a few weeks relaxing in Costa del Sol.
But Andalucia has a lot to offer for winter holidays. Sierra Nevada in Granada is one of the best resorts for skiing holidays in Spain. Many days it is a pleasure to ski when the sun shines.
Since the winter temperatures in Andalucia are not cold enough, it is the best time for active holidays. Walking through unspoiled nature parks like Cazorla and Grazalema is an experience itself, as an opportunity to see the vast expanses of wildlife-rich mountains, valleys and forests.
There is so much happening here, whether you decide your holiday trip to Andalucia in summer or winter, you won´t get disappointed.
