Marbella and San Pedro are two of the most popular resorts located on the bustling Costa del Sol in Andalucia. The towns offer visitors a wide range of activities and events from music concerts to cultural events.

One of the best features of these towns are the stunning beaches that attract thousands of visitors each year and there are often events taking place on the beaches of the area.

This year two events are taking place which has been organisied by The Delegation of Social Welfare, through the Area of Prevention of Marbella Solidaria,

ACTIVA Marbella 09, and ACTIVA San Pedro 09

These two activity programs have been organized with the young people (ages 12-30) of the area in mind although anyone is welcome to attend beaches of “El Cable” in Marbella, from 6 to July 17, and “out” in San Pedro from 20 to 31 July.

The activities are free and open to anyone

Activities include

Beach volleyball
Yoga,
Body-combat,
Tattoos,
Music and Dance
Plus much more

There are other activities including Diving and . scuba diving for beginners  which are also free but it is necessary to register  due to organizational reasons.

The organizers hope also that those who attend will also help out by suggesting activities, workshops and / or actions (youth associations, volunteers, etc. )
These type of events will also need to be registered and/or discussed with the organizers

The reason behind the event that has been arranged by the town hall in Marbella is to highlight youth recreation and be a healthy alternative.

It is hoped that the event will encourages young people to actively participate in proposing and organizing their own alternatives entertainment as well as having a good time and making new friends

The event has been approved and has been funded bythe Government Delegation for the National Drug Plan young people to actively participate in proposing and organizing their own alternatives entertainment.
