The coastal town of Benalmádena is located between Torremolinos and Fuengirola on the western Costa del Sol . The town is famous for many reasons including the magnificent marina and the Selwo Marina. The town is also known for hosting many great events throughout the year. In July 2008 the town is to play host to the 3rd Comics, Manga and Strategy Games Show.

The event is growing in popularity each year and this year the event promises to be bigger and better than the previous years. The intention of the organizers of the event is to make it an event that the increasing number of comic’s lovers in Spain must attend.

This year the event is been held between the 4th and 6th of July and has a much improved infrastructure and better communications.

The event has proved a success the last two years and with the current boom in Japanese TV shows the event is expected to draw large crowds from different generations of comic lovers

There will be around thirty stands as well as several exhibitions and also the chance to meet some of the authors of some of the classic comics who will be attending.

Also there will be a chance to see the 2nd National Comics and Manga Award which is sponsored by the Provincial Government of Málaga with the help of the ten leading publishing houses in the country

Visitors will be able to visit stands run by some of the most well know comic stores, games stores and game companies in Spain and around the world including Nintendo and Raccoon Games as well as a stand run by the Benalmadena town hall.

Some of the highlights of the event include an interesting event known as Star Wars Verses Star Trek which compares two of the largest and most popular Sci Fi franchises in the world

The event will be held in the beautiful setting of La Paloma Fairground in Arroyo de la Miel where you will find excellent parking and some stunning views
