Benagalbón is located 2kms inland from the coastal town of Rincón de la Victoria in the Axarquia region of the Malaga Province.

Between 26^th April and the 4^th May the Town Public Library and the Department of Culture at the Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall is arranging their 29^th Culture Week

The week is a full of a wide range of events from a painting competition to dancing shows .

Listed Below Is A Brief Outline Of The Weeks Events

The week starts with the 6th Paco Alonso Outdoor Painting Competition which is the main event of the day.

Other events on the day there will be several exhibitions, a painting workshop, a dessert tasting session, a hot chocolate party, dancing shows from different parts of the world, and a flamenco show.

On the 27^th there is a choice of events to attend

There will be a parade to Cañada Chaquetas

A Dressage Show

The screening of a video showing previous editions of the Culture Week.

28^th April You can enjoy videos of mountain activities or attend a ludo competition.

29^th April You can take part in popular games and enjoy a wonderful theatre play named ‘La II República en Benagalbón’ (The 2nd Republic of Benagalbón).

30^th April there will be , the 4th Meeting of Local Women takes place

1^st May A busy day starts with a traditional Andalusian breakfast, the 5th Bobbin Lace Conference, a meeting at the local Hogar del Jubilado, and the 2nd Game Fair.

The 2^nd , 3^rd and 4^th May sees a weekend of fun including

The award-giving ceremony of the 14th Literary Competition,

The 13th Concert by Young Musicians,

The 2nd Rincón de la Victoria-Benagalbón Cycle Touring Race, plus theatre for children, parades, and much more.

The week is held in venues across the town, as well as the streets, squares and other local places
